Perfect Persuasive Writing

Hello, and Welcome back to my blog! This week my Writing group and I have been learning about persuasive writing and how to write one. So I have made a persuasive argument about Should Junk food be BANNED at schools? I am against that, witch means that I think junk food should Not be banned at schools. What do you think? Are you For or Against this? I hope you enjoy my work!

Should Junk food be BANNED

at schools?

I think that junk food should NOT be banned at schools. I am against this being banned.

Here is why.

Junk food is a common treat at most schools, and whoever is packing their lunch will be putting

junk food as a treat because maybe they need more food, or maybe they have done well at something

and that is their reward. That is only for the person that is packing their lunch box to worry about.

Second of all I think that when other people see that when they have Junk food in their lunch box they

have a smile on their face. When one person is happy, everyone else is happy. Would you want junk food to be banned if they make you happy?

Although I disagree that people should share food, if everyone has a piece of junk food then they

wouldn’t want to share food with others.

In conclusion, I am against Junk food being banned at schools, because everyone knows that junk

food makes everyone happy.

  1. Hi Sophie
I like the way that you have set out your blog - by telling your reader what your learning task was and your view point on the persuasive writing.
That is a good point that you have made around the fact that if everyone had junk food, then nobody would want to share their food with others. Do you think you could edit this and add a rhetorical question at the start?
    Great job!

  2. Hi Sophie,
I too like the way that you have introduced this weeks work. You have made some good points.
In my opinion, a lot of junk food comes with packaging and as we all know that's not good for the environment. What are your thoughts on this?
    Thank you for sharing.
